At Amazing Kids ABA, our singular focus is to provide compassionate autism services that enhance your child’s quality of life.
Amazing Kids ABA provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services
Amazing Kids ABA is devoted to improving the lives of those impacted by autism. Amazing Kids provides comprehensive autism therapy to help children maximize their potential. Amazing Kids uses the most innovative and scientific-based therapeutic methodologies related to ABA therapy.
Our compassionate team has extensive training and experience in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of ABA programs for children with autism. WE LOVE CHANGING LIVES!!
We care about children and their families, our emotional resonance with our family’s concerns, and challenges is one of our driving forces. Compassion involves having empathy for our kids coupled with a desire to take action to address the child’s needs.
Our ABA treatment focuses on multiple areas of functioning including cognitive, communicative, social, emotional, adaptive, and maladaptive behaviors.
Maladaptive behaviors, such as noncompliance, tantrums, and stereotypy are also typically the focus of treatment. Although there are different types of comprehensive treatment, one example is early intensive behavioral intervention where the overarching goal is to close the gap between the child’s level of functioning and that of typically developing peers.
Every Amazing Kids therapy plan is personalized to the child we are helping. We develop therapy plans for children ages two through 18. The therapy schedule and location will depend on the clinical needs reflected in your child’s authorized plan and the scheduling availability of both our team and your family. Every child is unique. We are very individualized in our approach.
Our evidence-based therapy model of professional decision-making in which our staff integrates the best available evidence with client values/context and clinical expertise in order to provide services for our patients is scientific. This clinical framework provides behavior analysts with a structure for pervasive use of the best available evidence in the complex settings in which they work. This structure recognizes the need for clear and explicit understanding of the strength of evidence supporting intervention options, the important contextual factors including client values that contribute to decision making, and the key role of clinical expertise in the conceptualization, intervention, and evaluation of cases.
Our ABA treatment focuses on multiple areas of functioning including cognitive, communicative, social, emotional, adaptive, and maladaptive behaviors. Maladaptive behaviors, such as noncompliance, tantrums, and stereotypy are also typically the focus of treatment.
We are a collaborative, highly skilled and experienced team that loves what we do. Together, we build patient-focused, individualized therapy plans that we administer with care, compassion and consistency. In addition, our clinical team leaders provide exceptional guidance and mentorship to all of our clinicians to ensure the most productive therapeutic experience as well as a positive environment for everyone. Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) represent a range of brain disorders that are characterized by restricted patterns of behavior and impairments in social communication and interactions. These
disorders share common origins and features, but are classified as spectrum disorders because symptoms and severity vary among individuals.
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy is a scientifically proven approach that focuses on using principles of behavior to improve socially significant behaviors and skills in individuals with autism. It involves assessing behavior patterns, implementing interventions, and monitoring progress to promote positive behavioral changes. ABA therapy can help individuals with autism develop communication skills, social interactions, academic abilities, daily living skills, and reduce problematic behaviors.
One study showed that after ABA therapy, 90% of children substantially improved and 47% of them were able to function as well as other students in traditional classroom settings. There are
more than 550 studies published in scientific journals on the success of ABA therapy.
A typical course of ABA therapy involves 20-40 hours per week for 1-3 years. However, the number of hours of therapy can differ depending on the client’s goals. ABA therapy programs are designed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and conducted by our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Both are governed and licensed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Generally, the main steps are:
1. Initial Assessment—skills and abilities are measured
2. Goal Setting—specific, reachable objectives are set to address desired skills
3. Custom Planning—a program is developed to teach target skills in a natural environment
4. Evaluation—measuring targeted skills and making changes to the program if necessary
ABA is highly individualized so it’s hard to say how long ABA services may be necessary. Our goal at Amazing Kids ABA is to plan for graduation from the first day services start. This means that we will work with clients and caregivers to identify long-term goals that the entire Care Team will be working towards. Our goal is to provide intensive and comprehensive services to help clients gain functional skills that help them build independence.
